See the unsettling first trailer for Westworld season two

A first trailer for the second season of HBO's epic drama Westworld has been unveiled and you can see it below:

The show, which stars Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Anthony Hopkins, James Marsden, Ben Barnes, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal and Luke Hemsworth, premiered earlier this year and has been well received during its first run, leading HBO to commit to a second series.

The trailer doesn't give much away but does show off the second season's huge size and scale. It does confirm that the show will return in 2018.

It is based on Michael Crichton's 1973 film of the same name and is set on in a fictional Westworld, a technologically advanced, Western-themed amusement park populated completely by synthetic androids who cater to wealthy guests. The guests who can do whatever they wish within the park, without fear of retaliation from the hosts.

The first season of Westworld is available to pre-order on hmv.com by clicking on the buy button on the right-hand side of the page.
