Teen comedy License To Drive getting remake with female leads

1980's teen comedy License To Drive is getting a remake.

The movie was released in 1988 and starred Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Heather Graham, Carol Kane, Richard Masur, Michael Manasseri and Nina Siemaszko.

It told the story of Haim's Les Anderson, a teenager who fails his driving test, but to impress his gorgeous date Mercedes he borrows his grandpa's Cadillac for a night out, a night out that quickly goes very wrong indeed.

There had been speculation about a sequel, but instead, the movie will be remade with female leads.

Writers Alish Brophy and Scott Miles are working on the script and original producer John Davis is overseeing the project.
