Three directors on shortlist to shoot Fast & Furious 8
Three directors are in the frame to direct the next instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise, according to reports overnight.
The eighth movie in the series has been without a director since James Wan, who took charge of Fast & Furious 7, decided he would not return for the new movie.
Now, according to the Hollywood Reporter, three names are in the frame for the gig. The first is F. Gary Gray, director of this summer's huge hit Straight Outta Compton, the second is Adam Wingard, best known for his work on action comedy The Guest and slasher You're Next, and the third final name in the hat is Louis Leterrier, the man who has steered the likes of Clash Of The Titans, Hulk and Now You See Me to the big screen.
The directors are all expected to meet with Vin Diesel and producers Universal to discuss the movie next week.
The seventh instalment of the franchise was released earlier this year and is available to purchase on the right-hand side of the page.
