Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible 5 pushed forward to summer 2015

Mission: Impossible 5 has seen its release date brought forward from December 2015 to July 2015.

The fifth instalment of the action franchise is being directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who previously directed star Tom Cruise on detective thriller Jack Reacher and sees Cruise reunited with Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames, who starred alongside him in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.

Sean Harris, who recently starred in horror chiller Deliver Us From Evil, will play the film's villain. The film will now hit cinemas on July 31st.

According to The Hollywood ReporterMission: Impossible producers Paramount have moved live-action/CGI hybrid Monster Trucks back to December, taking the action thriller's slot.

The report also states that the studio has moved the movie as it is expected to be completely well ahead of schedule and to avoid competition with both Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is out on December 18th, and the new James Bond movie SPECTRE, which is out on November 6th.
