Trailers unveiled for Wonder Woman, Justice League, King Arthur and more - see them all
A series of high-profile new trailers were revealed across the weekend at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego and we have rounded them all up for you below.
First up is Wonder Woman, which was introduced with an epic trailer full of action and huge set pieces. Gal Gadot stars as Diana Prince herself, with Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui also in the cast, Chris Pine stars as Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman's key love interest.
The movie will be released into cinemas on June 2nd in 2017 and you can see the trailer below:
Next is the first teaser for Justice League, which sees Gadot's Wonder Woman team up with Ben Affleck's Batman, Henry Cavill's Superman, Ray Fisher's Cyborg, Ezra Miller's The Flash and Jason Momoa's Aquaman as they unite for thr first time.
The preview focuses largely on Momoa's Aquaman and Miller's Flash and sees Affleck's Bruce Wayne playing recruiter as he goes around putting together the Justice League team, there's also a first look at the movie's key villain Steppenwolf. The film will be released into UK cinemas on November 17th next year and you can see the first footage below:
Also unveiled this weekend was the trailer for new blockbuster Kong: Skull Island. A new origin story for iconic monster King Kong.
The movie stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Tian Jing, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Thomas Mann, Shea Whigham, Toby Kebbell and Eugene Cordero. Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who was recently behind the camera on indie hit The Kings Of Summer, directs.
The trailer offers up a glimpse at the film's epic size and scale as well as a first look at the film's terrifying new take on King Kong.
Kong: Skull Island will hit cinemas on March 10th next year and you can see the first trailer below:
Marvel dropped the second full-length trailer for new blockbuster Doctor Strange, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton.
Cumberbatch stars as a Stephen Strange, cocky surgeon who loses the use of his hands, and, in a last ditch attempt to regain his former powers, discovers magic. His mentor on this quest is a Tibetan mystic known as the Ancient One (Swinton), who is training pupils to be the next sorcerer supreme.
Starring alongside Cumberbatch and Swinton in the movie are Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg and Mads Mikkelsen.
Scott Derrickson, best known for directing The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, Sinister and last year's Deliver Us From Evil, directs Doctor Strange, while Jon Spaihts has written the script.
The new trailer is a lot more action-packed than the previous preview and shows off the film's huge effects budget.
It will hit cinemas on October 28th this year.
Warner Brothers also showed off the long-awaited first trailer for King Arthur, which has now been re-titled King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword.
Sons Of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam leads the film as King Arthur, with Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey playing Guinevere, Eric Bana playing Uther Pendragon, Arthur's father and Jude Law as villain Vortigen. Guy Ritchie directs the new take on the story.
The trailer is a pacy one, marked by Ritchie's trademark irreverant take on things, but also shows off the film's massive production budget and some incredible mythical creatures.
It will be released into cinemas on March 24th in 2017.
Fans also got another preview of Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, the new spin-off from Harry Potter, scripted by J. K. Rowling.
The movie is set 70 years before the events of Harry Potter and follows the adventures of Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander, a wizard at the heart New York's secret magic community, who arrives for a meeting with a briefcase full of magical creatures, some of whom end up escaping.
The movie stars, Redmayne, Ezra Miller, Katherine Waterson, Colin Farrell, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler. The movie has been directed by David Yates, who was behind the camera on four of the eight Harry Potter films, and is the start of a trilogy of movies.
The trailer offered up lots of new footage and a preview of many of the magical creatures that will on show in the new movie.
It will be released into cinemas on November 18th this year.
As well as this, a new trailer much-anticipated The LEGO Batman Movie has been unveiled.
The movie is the spin-off to 2014's hugely successful The LEGO Movie and this time focuses on the story of Batman, voiced brilliantly by Will Arnett.
Also featuring the voices of Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson and Zach Galifianakis, the movie will be released into UK cinemas on February 10th next year.
