TROLLS - Five Reasons You’ll Love It

After the success of The Lego Movie comes Trolls, another animated adventure bringing to life one of the most successful ranges of children’s toys.

Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Gwen Stefani, Russell Brand and Ron Founts lend their voices to this big budget family adventure, which grossed over $330 million at the box office and produced one of 2016’s biggest hits thanks to Timberlake’s' ‘Can't Stop The Feeling'.

Back before the movie made its way into cinemas we caught an early screening and have rounded up five reasons while you’ll love it…

It’s very, very colourful…

The overwhelming feeling you’ll get the second the movie starts is how bright everything is. If you’re in the mood for a quiet afternoon, give this a miss, it’s day-glo to the max, but if you need cheering up, look no further.

Timberlake and Kendrick lead the film well...

Anna Kendrick’s Poppy is nothing but sunshine, which is contrasted well with Timberlake’s dour Branch. They lead the adventure together wonderfully.

The supporting cast are excellent too…

From Russell Brand’s hippy dippy troll Creek to Gwen Stefani’s strange DJ troll Suki, there are some excellent side shows. Also on good form are John Cleese, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and The Good Wife’s Christine Baranski who voice the dastardly Bergins.

There are some great one liners…

The kids who go to see this will be bowled over by the bright colours and outpouring of joy in every frame, but there are some excellent lines for the adults in there too.

The soundtrack is excellent...

You’ve all heard Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’, which has hogged radio playlists all summer long, but there are lots of excellent tracks in this movie, including a great take on Earth, Wind and Fire’s ‘September’ and Zooey Deschanel’s unique rendition of ‘I’m Coming Up’.

TROLLS is released into cinemas on Friday (October 21st) and will be available to pre-order on hmv.com in the coming days.
