Vinnie Jones joins the cast for Arrow's third season

British hardman and former Wimbledon F.C captain Vinnie Jones will join the cast of hit TV show Arrow for part of the upcoming series.

Jones, who has starred in the likes of Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Escape Plan, will join the cast for the show's third series, playing villain Danny 'Brick' Brickwell.

The actor will appear in episode 10, 11 and 12 of the series, with his character described as a "ruthless gang leader who brings Star City's government to its knees".

Although, unlike the character of the same name who appears in numerous DC comics, Jones' version of the character will not have the impenetrable brick-like skin, instead, he has earned the name 'Brick' by surviving numerous gunshots.

Arrow begins again in the UK on Sky1 on October 30th. You can watch our interview with Emily Bett Rickards and Colton Haynes, where they open up about their roles on the show, below.
