Zack Snyder reveals Jena Malone has been cut from Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice
Jena Malone, star of The Hunger Games and Donnie Darko, has been cut from Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
Malone's role in the movie, which had been rumoured to be both Robin and Batgirl at various points, was always kept secret and director Zach Snyder has now confirmed she won't actually be in the theatrical cut, but exist only on DVD.
He told Entertainment Weekly when asked what Malone's role was: "I think we should keep it private, but it’s nothing that’s been talked about. She’s definitely not Robin or Batgirl. I’m happy to say that.”
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will see Ben Affleck make his debut as Batman with Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman. Gal Gadot is confirmed to make her debut as Wonder Woman, with The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg taking on the role of Lex Luthor. Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons and Laurence Fishburne also have key roles in the new blockbuster.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released into UK cinemas on March 25th.
