Eat the Elephant by A Perfect Circle
It’s been 14 years since we last had a new studio album from A Perfect Circle, the alt-rock outfit built around Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan and guitarist Billy Howerdel, but one arrives this week.
Produced by Oasis/Manic Street Preachers man Dave Sardy, the album has been recorded with a new rhythm section, Puscifer and Eagles Of Death Metal's Matt McJunkins and drummer Jeff Friedl, as well as Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha.
The new album is a more reflective piece of work, paring back the heavy guitars of their earlier work, focusing more on Keenan’s acerbic lyrics.

Strike: Career of Evil by Tom Burke
After Cuckoo’s Calling and The Silkworm, the final (so far) of J. K. Rowling’s Cormoran Strike novels hits the small screen.
Tom Burke, star of The Musketeers and War and Peace, is once again in the title role, with Holliday Grainger playing his assistant Robin Ellacott.
In this mystery, which goes out in two parts, things get personal for Strike. It all starts when a severed human leg arrives, a leg belonging to a girl Strike once knew, leading him to draw up a list of suspects who have a vendetta against him. It turns out to be quite a lengthy list...
