"My album is coming in the first quarter of 2015..." - hmv.com talks to Alesso
Alesso, a.k.a Alessandro Lindblad, is one of the hottest properties in EDM at this present time. He's shifted hundreds of thousands of downloads and collaborated with the likes of Calvin Harris, OneRepublic, Sebastian Ingrosso and, on new single 'Heroes', singer Tove Lo.
We sat down with him for a chat about his epic 2014, his plans for an even bigger 2015 and his dream collaboration...
How has 2014 been for you?
“One of the biggest and best years of my life. So far I’ve been able to do incredible shows and finally put out ‘ Heroes (We Could Be)’ with Tove Lo”.
You’re about to play two huge London shows, what have you got in store for everyone coming to the shows?
“New intro and new records that will be awesome! You’ll just have to wait and find out.”
How have you found the reaction to ‘Heroes’?
“So far, it’s been incredible. The support has been fantastic, it’s definitely one of my biggest records of my career.”
You collaborated with Ryan Tedder earlier this year, what is he like to work with?
“Ryan is a very talented artist and songwriter. I think he knows exactly how to write those top lines you’ll remember. He’s a good friend and very professional so it’s a pleasure working with him.”
Can you shed light on anyone else you’ve been working with?
“Stay tuned for the album”.
Who would be your dream collaborator? Any vocalists you’d love to work with?
Will there be a full length album out from you in 2015?
“It’s coming in the first quarter of 2015.”
What’s been your best gig of 2014? Any big favourites?
“Tomorrowland was absolutely amazing. The firework show was great!”
Finally, what has been your favourite tracks of the year?
“Coldplay - ‘Magic’.”
