Some 40 years after the release of their final album together, The Visitors, Swedish pop legends ABBA are set to return with a brand new album, Voyage, and a spectacular new live show created with George Lucas’ special effects studio Industrial Light & Magic.

Suggestions of possible new music from the Swedish pop legends have been circling for a good while now, but today the wildest dreams of ABBA fans across the globe have been confirmed, with their first new album in over four decades. Set to arrive on November 5, Voyage will contain 10 brand new songs, at least two of which are set to feature in a spectacular new live show due to launch next year.

ABBA Voyage, their new live show, will be staged at the specially designed ABBA Arena, a 3,000 capacity venue to be sited at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and will see Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad performing digitally as holographic 'ABBAtars' alongside a live, 10-piece band.

Due to open at the new venue next year on May 27 2022, the new concerts will feature "a kind of greatest hits" set according to the band themselves, but will include two songs from their brand new LP and will feature digitally-projected versions of their younger selves. Tickets are due to go on sale this evening at the ABBA Voyage website.

The new album is available to pre-order now on all formats, including a hmv exclusive CD and yellow vinyl editions with alternative cover artwork (pictured above) - you can find them all here in our online store.
