Adele working with Blur's Damon Albarn on new album?
Damon Albarn is working with Adele on her new album, according to tabloid reports today (November 28th).
According to The Sun, the Blur and Gorillaz mainman has been seen entering the studio with Adele as she continues to record the follow-up to 21, which is due out next year.
Earlier this month, Phil Collins revealed he will not be featuring on Adele's new album. The 'Another Day In Paradise' singer had previously said that he'd been contacted by Adele to work on material for the follow-up to 21, but then revealed that the writing he did with her was not productive and will not feature on her new record.
Last month, record label XL has revealed that there will no new album or material of any kind from Adele this year.
It had been long suggested that the singer would release the follow-up to her hugely successful album in the latter weeks of 2014, but XL have now confirmed that this will not be happening.
According to Rolling Stone, a financial report that they have seen states that there will be no new album from the singer and consequently the label's profits will be down.
The report reads: "There will not be a further new release by Adele during 2014 and consequently there will be a fall in XL's turnover and profits. Nevertheless, the directors are confident that by pursuing management policies... XL will continue to achieve success with other artists."
Adele is certainly working on new material, this has been confirmed by a number of big-name collaborators, including OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder and rapper Wiz Khalifa, who revealed recently that a duet he had recorded with the singer had been scrapped before release.
