Amy filmmakers partnering on new Oasis documentary
Asif Kapadia and producer James Gay Reese, the partnership behind hugely acclaimed Amy Winehouse documentary Amy, are to partner up again on a new documentary about Oasis.
According to Screen International, Kapadia and Gay Reese will work on the documentary alongside director Mat Whitecross, the man behind the camera on Stone Roses' movie Spike Island and Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, the Ian Dury biopic.
The report states that the film will chart Oasis's journey from their raw beginnings in Manchester in 1991 right up until their acrimonious split in 2009, with filmmakers getting unprecedented access to band members and archive footage.
Amy was released on DVD yesterday (November 2nd) and you can read our full preview here.
