Aviici cancels all scheduled performances due to illness
Swedish DJ Avicii has cancelled all his planned live performances, citing concerns over his health.
The hugely successful producer has been forced to shelve a headlining slot at TomorrowWorld festival later this month, as well as Las Vegas residencies at XS and Encore Beach Club and an Asian tour he was due to undertake in October.
According to Billboard, a representative for the star confirmed that the health problems relate to issues that remain from surgeries the DJ underwent to remove his gallbladder and appendix earlier this year.
It is expected that Avicii will now take the remainder of 2014 to rest and recover, before beginning work on his second album next year.
It was revealed earlier this summer that Aviici has recruited Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, Jon Bon Jovi, System Of A Down's Serj Tankian and Coldplay's Chris Martin to sing on his new album.
Avicii's debut album True (which you can preview on the right-hand side of the page) has sold over 500,000 copies worldwide and featured vocal contributions from the likes of Aloe Blacc, Adam Lambert and Audra Mae.
