Best Albums of December 2019: previews the top six...

Stormzy, Harry Styles and Camilla Cabello are among the artists with new albums hitting shelves in December...

Stormzy - Heavy Is The Head

Out December 13th

The rapper unveils his hugely anticipated second album next month.

Recorded with an array of production talent, including Disclosure key man Jimmy Napes, MJ Cole and Drake/Kanye West frequent collaborator IllMind.

The LP has a slew of guests, including Ed Sheeran, H.E.R, rising rapper Aitch, Burna Boy and Yebba.

Hit singles 'Vossi Bop' and 'Crown' are among the album's 16 tracks.

Harry Styles - Fine Line

Out December 13th

The One Direction heartthrob unveils his second solo LP next month.

Tyler Johnson, who was a key writer on Styles' debut, oversees this album, with Florence + The Machine/Jessie Ware key collaborator Kid Harpoon and Mark Ronson's right-hand man Jeff Bhaskar also key players.

A 12-track record, the album sees Styles experimenting with psychedelia and 70s rock, with two tracks tipping past the six-minute-mark.

Camila Cabello - Romance

Out December 6th

The former Fifth Harmony singers unveils her second solo effort in December.

The LP includes megahit 'Liar' as well as 'Shameless' and 'Cry For Me'.

The production talent is plentiful on this album, with Max Martin disciples Mattman & Robin, Benny Blanco, Charli XCX, Ryan Tedder and Billie Eilish's brother Finneas all on the credits.

The album includes a guest spot from rapper DaBaby as well as a collaboration with Cabello's boyfriend Shawn Mendes.

The Who - Who

Out December 6th

The iconic rockers unveil their 12th studio album and their first new LP for 13 years.

Co-produced by Oasis man Dave Sardy, the LP saw singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend record their parts of the album separately.

The album finds the band in a confrontational and playful mood, as you can hear on opening salvo 'All This Music Must Fade', which opens with the line 'I don’t care. I know you’re going to hate this song...'

Liam Payne - LP1

Out December 6th

There's a second One Direction solo effort earlier in December, with the release of Liam Payne's debut album.

Coming in at 17 tracks, the album includes seven of Payne's singles along with new release 'All I Want (For Christmas)'.

Quavo, Zedd, Rita Ora, Jonas Blue and Cheat Codes are among the guests on the album, which boasts the likes of Steve Mac, Stargate and Ryan Tedder among its songwriters.

Fran - A Private Picture

Out December 6th

Fran is Chicago native Maria Jacobson, who unveils her debut album in December.

Though rooted in the traditional trappings of singer-songwriting, it's an album full of jazzy quirks and freeform.
