Beyoncé and Jay-Z's 'On The Run' tour to be focus of new HBO special
Beyoncé and Jay-Z's joint tour 'On The Run' will be captured for an HBO special that will be broadcast in September, it has been confirmed.
The pair's joint tour, which kicked off earlier this summer, contains only two shows in Europe, both at Paris's Stade De France on September 12 and 13. Both those shows will be filmed for a special broadcast on American television behemoths HBO, set to air later in the month.
Speaking about the special, HBO's President of Programming Michael Lombardo said: "This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO, It’s going to be a night to remember."
The 'On The Run' tour has seen the pair performing over 40 songs during the course of their live show, some together, some apart, with early performances seeing them duet on Beyoncé’s recent single 'Drunk In Love' and her fill in for Justin Timberlake on 'Holy Grail'.
This isn't the couple's first collaboration with HBO, the broadcaster debuted Beyoncé’s Life Is But a Dream documentary as well as recently showing a 10-episode series named X10 which follows the singer's 2013’s'“The Mrs. Carter Show' world tour.
