Downton Abbey writer set to make new Rolling Stones biopic
A brand new biopic about the life of The Rolling Stones is on the way.
According to Deadline, Andy Goddard, best known for directing a large number of episodes of Downton Abbey, will take charge of the biopic, which is to be titled Exile on Main Street: A Season in Hell with the Rolling Stones.
The movie is to be based on the book by Robert Greenfield about the summer when they recorded their iconic album Exile On Main Street (you can preview and purchase that album on the right-hand side of the page) and has been adapted for the screen by Brandon and Philip Murphy.
Goddard, who was most recently in action directing the second season of Marvel's Daredevil, will begin production in the autumn and will now begin looking for actors to play Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
