Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie, George Ezra lead nominations for 2019 BRIT Awards

Dua Lipa and Anne-Marie lead the way in the nominations for the 2019 BRIT Awards.

The pair will face off in the battle for Best British Single and Video, both of which see the 'New Rules' singer nominated twice, one for her single 'IDGAF' and again for 'One Kiss', her collaboration with Calvin Harris.

Anne-Marie's nominations are more spread out, with nods for Album Of The Year, Best Female as well as Best British Single and Video.

Her competition for Best Female will be stiff, with Florence + The Machine, Jess Glynne, Jorja Smith and Lily Allen all nominated.

The album category just as tough for the singer, with Florence + The Machine, Jorja Smith, George Ezra and The 1975 also nominated.

The album race is one of George Ezra's three nominations. He is also up for Best British Male, where he will face Giggs, Aphex Twin, Craig David and Sam Smith, as well as Best Single for 'Shotgun'.

Also doing well are Jorja Smith, who has three nods. Calvin Harris, The 1975, Little Mix, Tom Walker, Jess Glynne, Rita Ora, Clean Bandit, Florence + The Machine and Rudimental are all up for two awards.

The show, which will take place at London's O2 Arena for a ninth year in succession, will be held on February 20th. The show will be broadcast live on ITV, with Jack Whitehall hosting.
