Elbow's Guy Garvey announces details of his debut solo album and intimate UK tour
Elbow mainman Guy Garvey has announced details of his first solo album Courting The Squall.
The album is due for release on October 30th and was made with a collection of musicians outside of Elbow, including members of The Whip and I Am Kloot.
You can see the album's artwork below:
Speaking about the album, Garvey said: "Elbow graciously gave me some time to write a solo album. I’ve wanted to try for years and I’m really proud of it. ‘Solo’ because I wrote everything but I was far from alone. I invited my favourite players outside of elbow (many of them also my favourite people) and we moved fast, drank a lot and had what can only be described as a massive laugh along the way."
Garvey will take the album out on the road for a series of intimate shows in December. He will play two nights at London's Shepherds Bush Empire, two at Manchester's Albert Hall and a show in Glasgow to end the tour.
Guy Garvey will play:
London Shepherd's Bush Empire (December 1, 2)
Manchester Albert Hall (4, 5)
O2 ABC Glasgow (8)
