Fatboy Slim, Clean Bandit for Bestival's new Common People festival
Clean Bandit, Fatboy Slim and De La Soul are among the first acts confirmed for new festival Common People, which is run by the same team behind Bestival.
The event will take place on Southampton Common on May 23rd and 24th, with Slaves, Jaguar Skills, George the Poet and Band of Skulls among the artists already confirmed to play the event.
Speaking about the event, curator and Bestival founder Rob da Bank said: "We have been inundated with offers to start new festivals every year, but it wasn't until we found the beautiful site of the Common that we felt it was right to start a new chapter in Bestival's history."
He continued: "This isn't a camping show. It's not tents, wellies and car-packed-to-the-rafters experience. It's a metropolitan two-day show - easy to access and open to all ages, compact but packed with experiences, and priced very, very reasonably. We can't wait to unveil our headliners and star cast for our first Common People show in May."
