Fleetwood Mac add yet more dates to their UK arena tour
Fleetwood Mac have added even more shows to their 2015 UK arena tour.
The band's UK arena tour will now feature 13 shows across the UK in May, June and July next year.
The tour will take in two shows in Birmingham, two in Glasgow, two in Manchester as well as shows in Dublin and Leeds and will now feature five shows at London's O2 Arena in May. Christine McVie is also confirmed to be joining the band for next year's tour.
Recently, Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham opened up about the band's plans for their brand new studio album.
Buckingham confirmed that he and keyboardist/singer McVie, who rejoined the band earlier this year, are exchanging song ideas.
The album will be the band's first since 2003's Say You Will, and their first with the iconic Rumours line-up that includes both Buckingham and McVie since 1987's Tango In The Night.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Buckingham said that he and McVie had been working on new songs, but that Stevie Nicks had not contributed to the sessions yet.
Asked about the band's progress and plans for the album, he said: "We never envisioned finishing the album in the short term. We set it aside. Stevie will come in and participate. I have material I had been working on. There’s no danger that it will slip between the tracks. It’s too profound to.”
Then asked if the band would be playing new songs live, he added: "Once we finish it, we can think about going out and trying something new.”
Fleetwood Mac will play:
London O2 Arena (May 27, 28, June 22, 24, 26)
Birmingham LG Arena (June 8, 9)
Manchester Arena (12, July 1)
Glasgow SSE Hydro (16, 17)
Dublin 3Arena (20)
Leeds First Direct Arena (30)
