Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, Jon Bon Jovi, Serj Tankian to feature on new Avicii album
Hugely successful DJ Avicii has recruited Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, Jon Bon Jovi, System Of A Down's Serj Tankian and Coldplay's Chris Martin to sing on his new album.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, the DJ, whose real name is Tim Bergling, has promised that the follow-up to his big-selling debut album True will be "a lot more song-orientated."
He said: "It's going to be a lot more song-oriented, True was an attempt at that, getting electronic music in a song format."
As well as the above singers, Bergling has recruited Wyclef Jean and Matisyahu to record a duet for the album. He also confirmed that the track he has recorded with Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong is called 'No Pleasing A Woman'.
Avicii's debut album True has sold over 500,000 copies worldwide and featured vocal contributions from the likes of Aloe Blacc, Adam Lambert and Audra Mae. It is unknown when his new album will be released.
