Hüsker Dü drummer Grant Hart dies aged 56
Grant Hart, drummer in pop rock icons Hüsker Dü, has died at the age of 56.
The drummer (pictured above in the centre), who had been battling cancer, died last night, with the band posting a simple tribute to him on their Facebook page.
Hart formed Hüsker Dü in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1979 with guitarist/vocalist Bob Mould and bassist Greg Norton and would stay in the band until their split in 1987.
During their career Hüsker Dü released six studio albums, including the hugely acclaimed Zen Arcade and Candy Apple Grey.
