Every day during January we’re going to be previewing the albums that are going to be hitting the shelves in 2015. Most will definitely come out, some probably will, and some we really hope finally see the light of day (we’re looking at you Adele…). Today it's enigmatic rockers Brand New...

A little background…

It’s been a full six years since the enigmatic rockers released their last album, 2009’s divisive Daisy. Since then they’ve toured semi-regularly, keeping their devoted and ever curious fanbase happy, but offering no new material. They don’t give interviews, so all fans are offered are increasingly cryptic tweets and instagram snaps to keep them updated on the band's progress. However, a few of those instagram snaps toward the end of the year, couple with some word from band insiders points to the fact that the New Jersey rockers are, at last, back in the studio.

What It's Called?

No idea yet. None at all.

What Will It Sound Like?

We have nothing to go off here, but, like everything Brand New do, it’ll be towering, dark rock with very snarky and clever lyrics.

Who's Producing It? Are There Any Big-Name Guests?

This we do know something about. Mike Sapone, who has produced almost everything Brand New have ever recorded, is working with them once again. He posts pictures of them working on his Facebook page, along with pictures of vintage gear.

Will It Really Come Out This Year? And When?

This really is anyone’s guess. They’ve got a few festivals already booked, but that’s been the case for the last few summers. Here’s hoping it’s with us this year, it’s been quite long enough.
