Every day during January we’re going to be previewing the albums that are going to be hitting the shelves in 2015. Most will definitely come out, some probably will, and some we really hope finally see the light of day (we’re looking at you Adele…). Today we're looking forward to the return of Biffy Clyro...

A little background…

After spending the first five years of their career as a much-loved, but extremely eccentric indie three piece, Biffy Clyro’s transformation into an arena-conquering, festival-headlining rock behemoth has been quite remarkable.

They did it all on their last campaign, released a double album, complete with bagpipes and orchestras, headlined Reading and Leeds Festivals and established themselves as a bona fide arena band. So, then, what now?

What It's Called?

No idea. Last time the band told the world’s media that the album would have a really long title and settled on a really short one, maybe they’ll do the opposite this time?

What Will It Sound Like?

In all their interviews, the band have understandably been keen to stress that fans can expect something far less epic this time round. Expect a rockier record, something far more direct.

In fact, when we asked them about it back in November at the MTV Europe Music Awards, they had this to say (the interview starts at 2:53…)

Who's Producing It? Are There Any Big-Name Guests?

GGGarth Richardson (he calls himself that…) has been at the controls on the last three Biffy Clyro albums, so you’d expect him to return.

They don’t really do guests, but maybe they will this time?

Will It Really Come Out This Year? And When?

Touch and go. You get the sense that the band aren’t in any rush, but they’ve got no festival commitments so far and so seem intent on buckling down. We reckon this will drop at the end of the year.
