"They made us play the same ten songs, on a loop, over and over again...." hmv.com talks to The Family Rain
With their album Under the Volcano out this week and an appearance in our hmv Bath store coming this Friday, we caught up with brothers William, Ollie and Timothy Walter, better known collectively as The Family Rain.
The boys talked about recording their new album in Berlin, and what it was like to be working with producer Jim Abiss (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian): "One of the greatest moments of being in The Family Rain was when we got the call saying that Jim had accepted and wanted to work with us, because it's a real privilege to work with someone who's done such great things."
The boys discussed why they delayed the release of the album, as well as their plans for 2014. They also had an interesting story for us about their encounter with The Hell's Angels...
The band will be appearing at hmv Bath on Friday 7th February, where they will be signing copies of their album and performing a live acoustic set for fans - full details can be found here
