Every Wednesday we recommend a brand new artist who we think you're going to love. This week we bring you Brighton indie troupe Beautiful Boy and their lush tones…

Who Are They?

Formed in the beginning of 2013, Beautiful Boy have gigged solidly ever since, taking their rollicking indie rock all over the place. Consisting of singer Dane Etteridge, Joseph Heaselgrave (Guitar), Greg Bishop (Bass), Tom Beck (Organ/Keys) and drummer Simon Goldring.

Who Do They Sound Like?

There’s a distinct Maccabees tinge to their sound, with lots of classic indie in the mix. You can hear tinges of The Stone Roses in the cloaked guitars, the pounding rhythms of Bloc Party and the delicate tones of The Smiths.

Why Should I Be Excited?

They’re an ace live band and they’ve got a clutch of brilliant uplifting indie songs. We can’t wait to hear their debut album.

Can I Hear Something?

Of course you can. ‘But You Do’ is available here as a free download from our digital service. Click here to check it out.
