Every Wednesday we recommend a brand new artist who we think you're going to love. This week we bring you up-and-coming London-based artist D/C...

Who is he?

Singer and multi-instrumentalist D/C released his debut EP Epiphany earlier this year and although he's pretty new on the scene, he's been busy writing material for his debut album and playing his own infectious brand of urban soul at places like Brighton's new music extravaganza The Great Escape, as well as featuring on Audio Monsters' track 'Trouble', released back in June.

What does he sound like?

D/C's music is a mixture of soul, garage and R&B - think SBTRKT, Sampha and James Blake and you're in the ballpark – but D/C is also a classically trained musician with skills to burn on piano and cello among other things, and there are audible jazz influences in there too.

Why should I be excited?

D/C is a talented individual with a soulful voice and some impressive songwriting abilities and he looks set for big things. If the EP and his live performances are anything to go by, the future looks very bright indeed. We can't wait to hear the album...

Can I hear something?

Of course, you can grab the Epiphany EP and the Audio Monsters collaboration from our download store or check out one of his latest videos below.
