hmv's Next Big Thing... #170 Night Flowers

Every Wednesday we recommend a brand new artist who we think you're going to love. This week we bring you dreamy indie collective Night Flowers...

Who Are They?

Four-fifths of Night Flowers, vocalist/guitarist Chris Hardy, bassist Sam Lenthall, drummer Zebedee Budworth and guitarist Greg Ullyart, all hail from Humberside, but their final fifth, US-born vocalist Sophia Pettit, is what changed their destiny. Now based in London and they hit the ground running in 2017 with an excellent debut EP and now they have their debut album Wild Notion inbound on uber-cool new label Dirty Bingo.

What Do They Sound Like?

Take the sugary melodies of The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, the jagged guitars of Hole and quirks of The Breeders and you have Night Flowers.

Why Should I Be Excited?

Serene melodies, gorgeous harmonies and an uplifting power, all of these things come with Night Flowers.

Can I Hear Something?

Their new single 'Cruel Wind' is out now and you can hear it below:
