Who Are They?

Egyptian Blue contain dual frontmen Andy Buss and Leith Ambrose as well as Luke Phelps on bass and Isaac Ide on drums.

A going concern since 2014, the Brighton foursome are now shacked up with Yala Records, the label started by former Maccabees man Felix White. 

 

What Do They Sound Like?

This is razorwire post-punk. Riffs straight from Gang Of Four's Entertainment, squall from Wire and melodies direct from the battered Mark E.Smith handbook. 

 

Why Should I Be Excited?

Whipsmart lyrics and jerky rhythms, Egyptian Blue are a vibrant bag of promise.
