hmv's Next Big Thing... #264 Eades

Every Wednesday we recommend a brand new artist who we think you're going to love. This week we bring you angular fivesome Eades...

Who Are They?

Eades consists of singer/guitarist Harry Jordan, guitarist Tom O'Reilly, drummer Jof Cabedo, bassist Dave Lancaster and keyboard player Dan Clifford-Smith. They hail from Leeds, with  a couple of members coming together as the live band for fellow Yorkshireman Far Caspian.

Their debut EP Microcosmic Things is out its way in July.

What Do They Sound Like?

This is direct, angular post-punk, with dizzying disco drums, cheesewire guitars and an undeniable groove. Think Gang Of Four, Devo and the very best bits of Franz Ferdinand.

Why Should I Be Excited?

Groove and angles smooshed together for a joyous sound, Eades are a real prospect.

Can I Hear Something?

For sure, you can check out 'Saying Forever' below...
