hmv's Next Big Thing... #70 Bleached

Every Wednesday we recommend a brand new artist who we think you're going to love. This week we bring you pop rockers Bleached, they should be the soundtrack to your summer...

Who Are They?

Bleached are sisters Jennifer Clavin and Jessica Clavin, bassist Micayla Grace and drummer Nick Pillot. They formed in 2011, released a full-length effort in 2013 and now they're back with a second LP, Welcome The Worms, which dropped a few weeks ago and is glorious.

Who Do They Sound Like?

Their sound is a blend of the best punk rock and surf pop, so you've got the bounce and punch of the Ramones, the crunch of Sonic Youth, the pop hooks of early Beach Boys and the guitar stylings of The Replacements, it's a potent mixture.

Why Should I Be Excited?

Their songs are all sunny, upbeat, power pop anthems with choruses for days.

Can I Hear Something?

Definitely. Their new single 'Wednesday Night Melody' is below for you and you can preview/purchase Welcome The Worms on the right-hand side of the page.
