Iron Maiden to reissue huge back catalogue collection on vinyl
British metal legends Iron Maiden have today announced a huge collection of reissues from their extensive back catalogue, with all of their albums from 1990 onwards due to be reissued on vinyl this year.
Fans of the band may remember that Parlophone reissued their first eight albums on vinyl back in 2014, a run that included brand new presses of classic albums like Powerslave and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, but this new run of reissues means that the band's entire back catalogue of studio albums will soon be available on vinyl.
The 12 reissues are due to arrive in three batches in May, June and July this year, beginning on May 19th with No Prayer For The Dying, Fear Of The Dark, X Factor and Virtual XI. The second batch will follow on June 23rd and will include Brave New World, Dance of Death, A Matter Of Life And Death and their 2001 live album Rock in Rio. The third and final batch is due to arrive in stores on July and will include their 2010 studio album The Final Frontier, as well as three more live albums, Death On The Road, Flight 666 and En Vivo!
As if that wasn't enough, the first two albums in the collection, No Prayer For The Dying and Fear Of The Dark, will be available along with a limited edition collector's box, with enough space for the entire run of 12 vinyl reissues as well as the triple vinyl edition of their latest album, The Book of Souls, released in September 2015.
All the above albums will be reissued on heavyweight 180g black vinyl and will feature remastered versions of the albums with their original track lists, packaged in faithfully reproduced sleeves featuring each album's original artwork.
