Jack Garratt wins BBC Sound of 2016 poll
Following on from his recent win at the BRITs Critic's Choice award, singer-songwriter Jack Garratt has been named as this year's winner on the BBC's Sound of 2016 poll. Garratt was up against some of the UK's most promising fresh talent, including the likes of Alessia Cara, Blossoms and Mura Masa, but the Buckinghamshire multi-instrumentalist won the hearts and minds of the DJs, journalists, critics and festival bookers that contribute to deciding who tops the list.
Garratt's debut album, Phase, is due to arrive in February (you can pre-order it at the top right of this page) and blends elements of pop, R&B and electronica. We caught up with Jack recently after his nomination on the shortlist, and his BRITs win - you can check out the interview below...
