Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington dies aged 41
Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has died at the age of 41.
The singer was found dead in his home in California this morning (July 20th). According to the Los Angeles Times, the local coroner's report states that he took his own life.
Bennington (pictured third from the left) joined Linkin Park in 1999 and has sold over 70 million copies with the band over the course of seven albums, including over 30 million copies of their 2002 debut Hybrid Theory.
Bennington's co-frontman in Linkin Park Mike Shinoda has already tweeted his sorrow at the news, while the band are preparing an official statement.
