Foals, IDLES, The 1975 nominated for the 2019 Mercury Music Prize

The 1975, Foals and IDLES are are among the nominees for the 2019 Mercury Music Prize. 

The trio lead the 12-strong shortlist for the prize, which also includes Cate Le Bon, Dave and slowthai. 

Anna Calvi, Black Midi, Fontaines DC, Little Simz, NAO and Seed round out the shortlist. 

The prize will be presented at a ceremony at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith on Thursday 19th September.

Many of the nominated acts will perform on the night and there will be live television and radio coverage of the event on BBC Four and BBC Radio 6 Music.

 

The shortlist for the 2019 Mercury Music Prize is as follows:

Dave - Psychodrama
