Metallica to headline Reading and Leeds Festival next summer
Metallica are the first headliner to be announced for next summer's Reading and Leeds Festivals.
The metal titans are currently working on the follow-up to their 2008 album Death Magnetic and will play the festival for the first time since 2008.
The festival will take place over the weekend of August 28th - 30th next summer and will also see Jamie T, Refused, Wilkinson, Run The Jewels, Pierce The Veil and Manchester Orchestra play sets across the weekend.
Reading and Leeds Festivals were headlined in 2014 by Arctic Monkeys, Blink-182 and a co-headline slot from Queens Of The Stone Age and Paramore, with supporting slots from Disclosure, The 1975, The Courteeners, Enter Shikari, Vampire Weekend, Jake Bugg, A Day To Remember, You Me At Six and more.
