Miley Cyrus Concert Banned by Dominican Republic
Miley Cyrus has been banned from performing in the Dominican Republic next month on morality grounds.
Cyrus was due to play on the Caribbean island on September 13th, but the show will now not go ahead after a government commission that oversees public performances in the country ruled that it should not be allowed to take place.
According to the New York Post, the commission said in a statement that it took the action because Cyrus often “undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law.” The news comes despite the fact that tickets for the concert have been onsale since July.
Cyrus is currently in the middle of her world tour in support of her fourth studio album Bangerz, which you can preview on the right-hand side of the page. The tour is due to end in Perth, Australia at the end of October.
