Mumford & Sons return to the studio with Arctic Monkeys' producer James Ford
Mumford & Sons are back in the studio and are working with James Ford, best known for being half of Simian Mobile Disco and for being the producer on the last four Arctic Monkeys' records.
The London folk-pop foursome were thought to be on a lengthy hiatus following the completion of their world tour in support of second album Babel (which you can preview on the right of the page), but, according to NME, are actually at work once again.
The source said: "A source close to the band commented of the sessions: "It’s very early days yet, but the sessions have been going well".
Ford has most recently worked with singer Jessie Ware on her new album Tough Love and has worked with the likes of Haim and Bill Ryder-Jones as well as Arctic Monkeys over the last three years.
Babel was released in September 2012 and sold over 159,000 copies in the UK in its first week of release and a further 600,000 copies in the US in the same time period.
