New Order announce UK tour and confirm special guests for new album Music Complete
New Order have announced a short UK tour in support of their new album Music Complete.
The tour kicks off on November 16th at London's Brixton Academy and finishes on November 24th at Wolverhampton Civic Hall, it also includes shows in Glasgow and Liverpool and is part of a full European tour.
As well as this, the band have also confirmed that a series of special guests will feature on their new album. They are Brandon Flowers, Iggy Pop and Elly Jackson, better known as La Roux.
The album is the band's first without long-time bassist Peter Hook and their first with keyboardist Gillian Gilbert since 2001's Get Ready. It will be released on September 25th.
Music Complete has largely been self-produced, but does feature production on two tracks from The Chemical Brothers' Tom Rowlands and production on one track from Madonna/U2's Stuart Price.
The album, which is the band's 10th of their career so far, is their first for new label Mute Records. It features new bassist Tom Chapman, who had previously played with New Order frontman Bernard Sumner in Bad Lieutenant, taking over from Hook.
