Nominations revealed for the GRAMMY Awards 2016
James Bay, Florence and the Machine, Ed Sheeran and The Chemical Brothers are amongst the British acts to be nominated for this year's GRAMMY Awards, with the full list of nominations unveiled today. James Bay picked up a couple of nominations, receiving one in the Best Rock Album category for his debut, Chaos and the Calm, plus another for Best New Artist.
Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' is nominated for Best Record and Best Song, while Florence + The Machine's How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album. Mark Ronson was also nominated in those same categories, for both his single 'Uptown Funk' and the album it came from, Uptown Special.
However, it is in the Best Dance / Electronica album category that the Brits performed best, with three of the five nominations going to British artists. Jamie xx receives a nomination for his album In Colour, while The Chemical Brothers also bagged a nomination for Born in the Echoes and Disclosure are nominated for their second album, Caracal.
