One Direction confirm they will take break in 2016, but deny plans to split up
One Direction have confirmed that they will be taking a lengthy break during 2016.
Tabloid reports over the weekend indicated that the group may be on the verge of splitting up, but the band's Niall Horan has now taken to Twitter to deny this. Horan did however confirm that the band will be taking some time off next year.
He wrote: "Lots of rumours going round. We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year. Don't worry though, we still have lots we want to achieve! Can't wait for you to hear all the new music we have for you and to perform."
