One Direction’s Made In The A.M. - What You Need To Know
The biggest boyband in the world unveil their fifth studio album and their final act before they head off for a well-earned rest today, here is everything you need to know about One Direction’s Made In The A.M…
A little background…
Since they were formed at the very end of 2010 One Direction have pursued their career at a relentless pace, a pace that is about to slowed dramatically when they head off for a hiatus early next year. In their five years together they will have released five studio albums, played just about every stadium and arena on the planet and inspired a fanbase that took devotion to new, terrifying levels. But before they head off for a lie down, there’s the small matter of Made In The A.M., which you can preview on the right-hand side of the page.
Who’s Producing It?
Having undertaken a massive world tour in support of previous album Four, there’s a little less in the way of co-writes from the boys themselves, but just as much firepower from the songwriters who’ve helped them become so huge. Julian Bunetta, who helped pen ‘Steal My Girl’ and ‘Best Song Ever’, Jamie Scott, the man behind ‘Night Changes’ and ‘Story Of My Life’, frequent Madonna co-writer MoZella and Ed Drewett, the man responsible for most of The Wanted’s biggest hits, are all onboard this time.
Any Special Guests?
None. They’ve yet to record a collaboration on any album, no changing that this time.
What Does It Sound Like?
This continues down the same path that the band started on with Four, there’s a bit of Maroon 5 on here, some Elton John and plenty of Coldplay in here, it all adds up to big, fist-pumping, arms aloft stadium pop.
Does It Deliver?
This is a full-on crowd-pleasing swansong, fans will adore it, hopefully it’ll keep them happy while the boys recharge their batteries.
