Reggae star John Holt dies aged 69
John Holt, reggae singer and singer with The Paragons, has died at the age of 69.
Holt passed away yesterday (October 19th) at a London Hospital, his manager confirmed to the Jamaican Observer. His cause of death has not been confirmed as yet.
Holt was best known for his work with The Paragons, especially their 1967 hit single 'The Tide Is High', which was later covered by Blondie and Atomic Kitten.
The singer's last solo album Peacemaker was released in 1993.
