Rita Ora quits The X-Factor
Rita Ora has become the third judge to quit The X-Factor.
The singer, who only joined the show in 2015, has announced that she will not be returning for the new series when it begins later this year. She has cited needing to work on her long-awaited second studio album as the reason for her departure.
A spokesman for The X Factor said: “Rita brought a great energy to the show last year and did a brilliant job mentoring the girls' category, leading Louisa to victory. We wish her all the best with her music and film plans for the rest of the year.”
Ora herself took to Twitter to confirm that she was leaving, you can see what she wrote below:

@simoncowell can't wait to work with you again... I'll be round for dinner soon. Thank you for the experience & love X— Rita Ora (@RitaOra) May 10, 2016
Ora's departure follows the exit of fellow judges Nick Grimshaw and Cherly Fernandez-Versini as well as hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs. Former host Dermot O'Leary has been confirmed to return for the show's new series, while former judge Louis Walsh is also expected to return.
