Rockers Canterbury announce they are splitting up
Canterbury have announced that they are splitting up.
The rock band have released three albums across a seven-year career, the most recent of which came in January of this year with Dark Days, which you can preview on the right hand side of the page.
The band have issued a statement about their split, it reads as follows: "We take this opportunity to say Thank You. Thank you to everybody who has at any point over the last 7 years, considered themself a fan of our band 'Canterbury'. We have lived, breathed, and literally poured our entire existence into this musical adventure for the last 7 years, and that is why we feel great thanks are in order for everyone who has made it possible for us to make it work for so long."
It continues: "It is with heavy, but extremely proud and high-held hearts, that we are announcing there are no plans to write, record and release another Canterbury album."

The band will conclude their time together with three farewell shows later this year, they will play Birmingham Flapper on December 17th, Manchester Sound Control on December 18th and a final show at London's O2 Islington Academy on December 19th.
