Sam Smith and One Direction make the Young Musician’s Rich List
It’s all very exciting to see that Sir Paul McCartney has onece again topped the 2015 Musician’s Rich List but we’ve got to big-up the young musicians who made the cut.
Sam Smith has come in joint sixth place on the Sunday Times' Young Musician’s Rich List with Florence Welch, Jamie Cook and Katie Downes. It’s said the success of the 22-year-old's single 'Stay With Me' made a large contribution to his personal wealth of around £12 million.
All of the One Direction boys, unsurprisingly, also made the list with a personal wealth of about £25 million each. However, it is Adele who topped the chart for ‘the wealthiest musicians under the age of 30’ with a fortune said to be around the £50 million mark.
According to reports the 26-year-old still makes millions through royalties from her songs each year.
Former Beatles star Sir Paul is said to be worth £730 million - £20 million up from last year. His musical fortune gets a boost from his wife, Nancy Shevell, said to be worth £150 million.
