Sampha wins the 2017 Mercury Music Prize
Sampha has won the 2017 Mercury Music Prize.
The singer took home the award for his debut album Process and walked away with the cheque for £25,000 last night (September 14th) at the ceremony at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.
He saw off competition from Ed Sheeran, Kate Tempest, J Hus, Glass Animals, The Big Moon, Blossoms, Alt-J, The XX, Loyle Carner, Dinosaur and Stormzy to win the prize.
