On what is now the fifth album from the New Jersey rockers, they have promised to try something different from their traditional Springsteen-like stadium rock sound of the past. Things certainly kick off with a bang on 'Stay Vicious' with a very heavy riff layered throughout the song unlike anything they have released previously.
Their sound also delves into deeper realms with the haunting title track 'Get Hurt' showing a different ad more vulnerable side to the band. However they are at their best when making straight up solid rock songs like the engrossing 'Rollin' & Tumbling' and closer 'Dark Places'.
With a winter tour seeing them play in the biggest venues they've ever headlined in the UK, it seems that this is going to be their moment.
