Sum 41 promise new album will be "collection of fast, aggressive, fun, rock songs"
Sum 41 have given an update on their progress in the recording of their new album.
The Canadian pop punks have spent the last year working on the follow-up to 2011's Screaming Bloody Murder, but have revealed to hmv.com that the album is almost complete.
Speaking to hmv.com in a new interview, which you can read in full here, frontman Deryck Whibley said: "We’re in the home stretch, there are still a few things to be done, but we’re pretty close to having it done.”
Then asked what fans could expect from the record and if it was in the same vein as Screaming Bloody Murder, he added: "I like Screaming Bloody Murder, it’s a good record, but this is much more fun and written to play live. This is a really live record and a collection of fast, aggressive, fun, rock songs.”
Sum 41 will tour the UK this month. Click here for tickets and full details.
